The Janana Summer Encounter was held for the 8th consecutive year at Brumana High School between the 6th and 14th of August 2009.
The encounter’s workshops focused on two comprehensive themes; namely; the Interactive Learning and Creative Expression Theme, and the Conflict Transformation Theme. The workshops were attended by 140 participants, both males and females, from NGOs working among the Palestinian Camps and Marginalized Lebanese Gatherings all over Lebanon. An elite group of Arab and Foreign facilitators conducted the trainings.
The Encounter aims at enhancing the participants’ capacities in working with children and youth amongst the Palestinian and Lebanese marginalized communities in Lebanon and providing forums for developing exchanges & collaborations.
